Standard swing tunes well executed!

Although I have never heard of the Tony Burgos Orchestra they have done a lively and well executed version of old standard swing tunes. The recordings themselves are clear, crisp and present. Original recordings of these old songs are unfortunately very poor as recording technology was in its infancy back then. It's refreshing to hear a contemporary big band bring these old tunes back to life. With a combination of excellent recording engineering, high quality musicianship, very tasty arrangements and good vocals this set of swing standards delivers the goods.

The songs on Swing Party 2000 are all very good, and the performances are well done! Another reviewer here failed to notice that this music is performed by the Tony Burgos Orchestra; however, that information is on the back of the box, as plainly as the song titles themselves. This is a great little collection of swing tunes and standards. The shared vocals of Tony Burgos and Jenny Sanford are very enjoyable.

The songs on Swing Party 2000 are all very good, but the performances by the Tony Burgos Orchestra are lackluster! The box should tell people that the CD is by the Tony Burgos Orchestra NOT the Tony Burgos Orchestra. They only tell you on the back of the box, in very fine print. I am very dissapointed and angry with this CD.
