Product Description
Many parents struggle with accomplishing daily tasks due to the time and energy required in caring for young children. Melissa Bogdany has insightfully addressed this issue in Toddler Time. Harried parents will find easy, fun, and inexpensive ways to keep that little one out of trouble. The book is divided into two easy-to-use parts for parents without much prep-time: "Instant Ideas," and "Fifteen Minutes or Less." Both contain activities for inside the house, outside in the backyard, or all around town, even at the doctor's office. From noodle necklaces to yogurt finger paint to sidewalk art, each engaging activity helps toddlers learn skills while they're having fun, leaving parents free tackle their to-do lists. Busy moms (and dads) everywhere will appreciate Melissa's creative, resourceful, and valuable tips.

Very Disappointing!!

This book does not live up to its description! I was expecting a book that would give me fresh ideas for activities my toddler could do with some degree of independence. That is NOT what I got.

Most of the ideas were not very original ("Have your toddler hit the pavement with some sidewalk chalk"), and most of them are more appropriate for older children ("Have your toddler make dolls from panty hose.") A few ideas have serious safey concerns ("Let your toddler play with your hair accessories" and "Let your toddler play with packing popcorn"). Other ideas are not at all independent ("Have your toddler help make homemade pizza"). Many ideas assume your child can independently cut with scissors. Some other favorites: "Get help watching your toddler from a friend" and "Hand your toddler off to your spouse."

Also, fair warning to those who are not Christian: More than a few of the ideas are about Christmas and Easter. As a Christian, this didn't bother me, but I have several friends of other faiths who would probably not choose this book.

Awesome Ideas!

From start to finish, Melissa Bogdany has packed fun and easy kids activities into this gem of a book. She provides creative alternatives to mind-numbing television, making it easy for moms and dads to interact with their toddlers without wondering, "Now what do I do?" I highly recommend this book for new mothers at home with young ones, grandparents wondering what is age appropriate, and anyone wanting to go beyond coloring books and videos. -- Stacy Oliver, Christian Book Previews.com

Melissa has a different hook on this one! We busy Moms are always on the hunt for creative ways to occupy our little ones. Melissa is a work at home Mom who has had to live what she writes, as a writer she wanted to keep her child happy and productive while she worked her business. The beauty of this book is that she has ideas that don't need parental participation all the time, these are ideas that really will work!! Most toddler books involve Mom being a part of the activity, hey, that's great, but, what do you do when you need to make that phone call or you have a business deadline to meet?! It helps to have them safely occupied while you work. Good job Melissa!
