A Mixed Bag (And Outdated)

There's lots of good information in this volume, although parts are pretty dry, but be careful ... it's fairly outdated and large portions of the book are of seemingly minimal specialized interest (a huge section on agriculture, DNA fingerprinting, ...). Some of the articles (especially on proposals for government regulation) are real yawn-producers. I would categorize this book as "buried treasure" but the you have to spend some real effort digging.

No biased info!

I found this book interesting because most books that examine controversial topics tend to hang in one direction or another, but since this book collected info. from many different viewpoints I was able to examine genetic engineering fairly without the bias found in normal books. Great for debate situations!
